2013 Event Trends

Happy New Year!Ashleigh Dorfman, CSEPI hope 2013 is off to a great start; it certainly is for me!  In 3 days, I’ll be at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center welcoming 5000 guests to the 2013 Black Tie & Boots Presidential Inaugural Ball!  I’m on the production team and for the last few months, I’ve been overseeing the invitation, ticket sales and guest seating for this highly-anticipated state society soiree.  As with most complex events, the weeks before are very intense so I’m ready to get on-site and make this happen … but not before inspiring your celebrations! This month’s newsletter includes a list of 2013 Event Trends, fabulous photos from my sponsored photo booth at the Reston Chamber 30th Anniversary Celebration, inspiring details from a birthday party that I produced last month and last but not least, guidance for planning your Super Bowl party!

Until next month, I wish you many reasons to celebrate … and when you need professional assistance, please contact me!

{by the numbers} Super Bowl Parties

Last month, I prepared a Holiday Parties by the Number cheat sheet that was extremely well received so I updated it for Super Bowl parties.  Click here for planning guidance on how much food and drinks, as well as cups, ice and seating you should provide for the Big Game!
{event design} Peace Love and GeocachePeace Love Cache -invitationChildren’s birthday parties should be three things – simple, inexpensive and a lot of fun! Chuck E. Cheese and the myriad of bounce houses have certainly figured this out. But what if you want a unique birthday experience for your child? Are your options limited to cake and ice cream and a messy house? Absolutely not!

Click here to read more details and here to see more photos of this birthday party produced for a very special 10 year old!
